What is Ofsted?
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. School inspections are required by law.

- Pupil progress and attainment data – internal and external
- External moderation of pupil work
- Pupil surveys
- Parent/carer surveys
- Staff surveys
- External school improvement partner visits
- Federation monitoring visits
- External audits in specific areas eg safeguarding, SEN, data compliance, curriculum subject areas.
- Governor visits and reporting
- Keeping up to date with current educational research-based evidence
